Laura Nocco for LEFFIMERA
From her boutique workshop in the picturesque Piazza Scapinelli in Reggio Emilia (Italy) to the esteemed showcases of the LOUVRE, the VATICAN MUSEUM, and VERSAILLES, and even across the ocean to the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC in Washington, LAURA NOCCO’s art jewelry has captured hearts around the world.
Meticulously crafted from the finest materials, these stunning pieces have graced the necks of the world’s most beautiful women, from HAUTE COUTURE runways in PIAZZA di SPAGNA to everyday moments.
Born into a distinguished family of antique dealers, Laura was destined for a life rich in art and history. Her early fascination with these realms guided her into the meticulous world of restoring ancient canvases, where she devoted four years to rigorous study following her Art Diploma. In ROME, she deepened her expertise in FRESCO restoration, contributing to the revival of MICHELANGELO’s SISTINE CHAPEL, an experience that profoundly shaped her artistic sensibilities.
Upon returning to Reggio Emilia in 1991, Laura set up a workshop for restoring ancient paintings and opened an antique shop with her sister. One day, a serendipitous encounter with a dental technician introduced her to lost-wax casting techniques and her life changed: a new realm of creativity was born.
“My imagination saw the potential for jewelry in everything,” she reflects. “Locks became pendants, antique handles transformed into necklaces, and from a simple clock, I could envision entire collections.”
The BUTTERFLIES collection marks the first collaboration between LEFFIMERA and LAURA NOCCO, a meeting that has inspired the entire LEFFIMERA MISSION and AESTHETIC.
